Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a singer/songwriter from the country genre. In 2007, she released two singles, as well as an album titled Satisfied. She then formed an Pistol Annies group with Angaleena Lambert, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena. Later, they released their second album called Like a Rose. She has more than 15 years' experience in the public sector that includes five years of periods working in Iowa City. The current Assistant Village Manager's responsibilities include the management of Community Development and Building Department, coordinating grants and completion of projects that are special. At Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services while implementing the strategic vision of elected officials as well as the residents. Ashley's past roles included the budgeting and planning of government communications, staff management and collective negotiation. Ashley is also passionate regarding climate action. Ashley's work with the national organization, as well as her involvement with diverse communities and population sizes has provided her with insights into the various differences and similarities between how different public organizations run. Ashley's lectures focus on the current approach to management and leadership within public sector organizations, based on her experience as a practitioner. She concentrates on making the ethical and strategic choices to take advantage of today's opportunities and challenges, and manage intergovernmental relations.
